Civil Defense contains massive fire at sponge factory in Sanaa

SANAA, April 07 (YPA) – Firefighting teams from the Civil Defense Authority successfully extinguished a massive fire that erupted in a sponge factory and nearby warehouses in the Bani Al-Harith district of Sanaa on Monday.

According to a statement by the Civil Defense Authority, the teams managed to swiftly control the blaze, preventing it from spreading to the majority of the factory’s facilities.

The authority further revealed that the factory had been operating without a proper license and did not meet basic safety and security standards.
