US and Saudi forces conduct training using tanks

SANAA, March 19 (YPA) – The US military has published new footage from the latest live-fire combat training exercises at the platoon and company levels, conducted as part of the “Friendship 25” exercise within the US Central Command’s area of ​​responsibility, conducted with the Royal Saudi Land Forces.

The upgraded M1A2 SEP Abrams 3 tanks of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment participated.

Footage released by the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS) documents advanced combat maneuvers by 13 M1A2 SEP tanks at an undisclosed location on February 12, 2025.

The “Friendship 25” maneuvers aim to enhance the capabilities of U.S. and Saudi forces, improve their readiness to meet regional security challenges, and counter emerging threats.
