STC establishes private civil aviation company in southern Yemen

ADEN, March 15 (YPA) -The “Aviation Authority” in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, has issued a license for the establishment of “Hadramout Airlines,” in which several leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) are involved.

Informed sources revealed that the company, which includes a prominent STC leader affiliated with the UAE, received the license after completing all the required procedures, according to their claims.

The sources mentioned that the establishment of “Hadramout Airlines” was funded through suspicious means via the STC leader “Faraj Al-Bahsani,” and noted that the appearance of a businessman named “Al-Basiri” as the leading owner was a cover for these funds.

They stated that the company is set to commence its operations in the coming months, aiming to fulfill the STC’s demands for autonomy in civil aviation, separate from “Yemenia.”

This comes after the announcement in January of the establishment of another company called “Aden Airways,” which is linked to leaders within the STC, including “Abu Zar’ah Al-Mahrami.”

The ownership of this company was headed by one of the owners of a money exchange company from Yafa under the name ” Al-Qatabi Group.”
