LAHJ, Mar. 10 (YPA) – Al-Sabiha areas of Lahj province, southern Yemen, witnessed an increase in the armed tensions, as the Al-Atira and Al-Muhawela tribes began mobilizing dozens of militants in preparation for the possibility of clashes with the “Al-Amaliqa” factions supported by the Saudi-led coalition, tribal sources reported on Sunday.
The sources indicated that this escalation came after three members of the two tribes were killed by the “Al-Amaliqa” factions, led by Hamdi Shukri, in two separate incidents recently in the Al-Madhareba and Ras Al-Ara areas.
They added that the repeated violations by these factions led to a state of anger and tension among the tribes in Al-Sabiha.
The sources also pointed to the possibility of large-scale clashes in the region, which could complicate the security situation for citizens with the continued violations targeting a number of Al-Sabiha leaders and dignitaries.
