OCCUPIED PALESTINE, March 10 (YPA) – Israeli media reported, on Sunday, that the army had begun a surprise maneuver in a number of bases, with the aim of testing readiness against any infiltration operation.
The Ynet website said, “Under the supervision of Chief of Staff Major General Eyal Zamir, the IDF has begun a surprise test to examine the readiness of its forces to deal with scenarios of infiltration into bases and sites, including in forward security areas.”
According to the IDF spokesman, the exercise will simulate, among other things, scenarios of infiltrating the Ramat David base from several directions at the same time in a surprise scenario.
The spokesman pointed out that the exercise will witness active movements of security forces and air forces, and that explosions will be heard in the area.
