UN affirms difficulties in bringing aid into Gaza Strip

GAZA, Feb. 26 (YPA) – GAZA, Feb. 26 (YPA) – UN Secretary-General’s Spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, affirmed that there were many difficulties in bringing aid into the Gaza Strip.

This came in a news conference by Dujarric last night, commenting on the death of 6 newborn babies in Gaza due to Israeli occupation restrictions on the entry of aid.

“The Israeli occupation authorities imposed restrictions on the entry of aid,” he added, “there are many difficulties in bringing in a mobile home and tents, and we are still continuing to bring in some of them.”

According to the Gaza-based government media office, nearly 1.5 million Palestinians have become homeless after their homes were destroyed.

The occupation is refusing to allow the entry of necessary humanitarian aid into the Strip, including 200,000 tents and 60,000 mobile homes, to provide urgent shelter for the affected Palestinians, thus violating the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19.

Between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, the US-backed Israeli occupation have committed genocide in Gaza, leaving more than 160,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
