SANAA, Feb. 25 (YPA) – Three children were killed and a girl was injured, on Tuesday, due to the explosion of objects from the remnants of war spread across large geographical areas of Syrian territory, bringing the death toll from the remnants of war in Syria since the beginning of the year to 453 between martyrs and wounded.
The Syrian Observatory reported that three children were killed and a girl was injured, as a result of the explosion of a landmine left over from the war in the Al-Shula desert in the southern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
According to the Observatory’s documentation, the number of Syrian civilians who have been martyred since the beginning of this year, in various Syrian governorates, as a result of the explosion of objects left over from the Syrian war, has reached 208 people, including 41 children and 8 women, in addition to 245 others being injured, including 105 children and 3 women.
The remnants of war have posed a constant threat to the lives of residents, especially displaced people returning to their destroyed villages and former military areas.
The Syrian Observatory also documented the deaths of 86 civilians during 20 days of last December, including 64 men, 14 children, and 8 women, and the injury of 119 others, including 66 children and 6 women.
