President stresses importance of activating tourism

SANAA, July 23 (YPA) – President Mahdi al-Mashat on Monday stressed the importance of exerting more efforts towards activating the tourism sector.

During his meeting with Minister of Tourism, Nasser Baqazqoz, the president urged the need for improving the performance and overcoming the challenges imposed by the aggression.

The meeting dealt with the difficulties facing the Ministry of Tourism in light of the continued aggression, siege, and systematic targeting of touristy facilities and historical monuments over more than three years.

The tourism minister reviewed plans and programs of the ministry, noting to the efforts to uncover the crimes of the aggression against the tourism sector and its infrastructure.
