SANAA, Feb. The stations of the Yemeni Center for Monitoring and Studying Earthquakes and Volcanoes recorded, on Tuesday, an undersea earthquake and a tremor in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean regions.
The head of the monitoring center, Eng. Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, reported that the first earthquake measured 3.3 on the Richter scale and occurred in Gulf of Tadjoura, south of the Bab al-Mandab Strait, at the entrance to the Red Sea, at 6:17 AM.
Al-Houthi added that the second undersea earthquake measured 5.5 on the Richter scale and occurred in the Indian Ocean at 8:00 AM.
