GAZA, Feb. 11 (YPA) – The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation did not abide by the implementation of the health protocol stipulated in the ceasefire agreement.
The ministry’s spokesman indicated that the basic needs provided to the health sector barely meet a small part of the required needs, stressing the urgent need to restart hospitals in Gaza.
He added that the occupation greatly restricts the travel of patients and the wounded for treatment outside the Strip, as it only allows 40 patients and wounded to leave daily to receive treatment abroad.
The spokesman stressed that the health sector is in dire need of bringing in the necessary medical equipment and devices to improve the destroyed health infrastructure and rehabilitate hospitals to operate efficiently.
