Explosive device found, detonated at school in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 10 (YPA) – A suspicious explosive device was discovered inside a secondary school in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition in southern Yemen.

Informed sources confirmed that unidentified individuals planted a bomb inside “Othman Abdo” Secondary School, located in the Sheikh Othman district, causing panic among both students and teachers.

The sources reported that the bomb was detonated by specialists from the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions, and the school was evacuated of students.

The incident sparked a wave of anger and fear among residents, who questioned the party responsible for placing the bomb inside the school.

The incident occurred at a time when Aden is experiencing security chaos and conflicts among the pro-coalition factions’ leaders, who have multiple loyalties, since the beginning of 2016.
