Local sources affirmed that the price of one cylinder reached 10,000 riyals, which has increased the suffering of citizens in light of difficult economic conditions.

The sources explained that the crisis was caused by the detention of gas and fuel tankers in the Al-Saeed area of Shabwa province by gunmen, which led to the suspension of supply lines to the city.

The gas crisis has caused confusion and frustration among residents who rely heavily on cooking gas to run their daily lives, with severe congestion and long queues at gas filling stations in Aden, where most stations were closed due to the lack of available quantities.

The crisis comes at a time when Aden and the rest of the southern provinces are witnessing a catastrophic deterioration in terms of living and economic conditions, due to the continued collapse of the local currency against foreign currencies, which has further exacerbated the economic and living problems of citizens.
