UN Special Rapporteur: the situation in Gaza remains extremely dire

GAZA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights, confirmed that the situation in Gaza remains extremely dire, with nothing left for the displaced to return to.

The UN Rapporteur stated that aid trucks are arriving, but the quantities are insufficient, and there is a shortage of temporary shelters.

She explained that displaced people returning to the north are in urgent need of basic relief items, especially shelter tents.

She also emphasized that the countries sponsoring the agreement must ensure the delivery of 6,000 temporary housing units, as agreed upon.
