HADRAMOUT, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The government loyal to Saudi-led coalition imposed a new oil price hike in all the districts of Wadi Hadramout on Monday, excluding other coastal districts.
The pro-coalition government raised the price of diesel by 70 riyals per liter, which equals an increase of 1400 riyals per 20-liter gallon, and added 30 riyals per liter to gasoline, raising the price by 600 riyals for a 20-liter gallon.
This price hike for petroleum products comes amidst the growing suffering of citizens due to the economic collapse and rising prices of basic foodstuffs.
The pro-coalition government persists in raising fuel prices at a time when the Yemeni riyal is undergoing another decline against foreign currencies, particularly the US dollar, exacerbating the suffering of the people.
