Hamas, Prisoners’ authority discuss developments regarding prisoner swap

WEST BANK, Jan. 17 (YPA) -Hamas discussed with the Prisoners’ Authority, on Friday, the latest developments regarding the prisoner exchange deal and arrangements for their reception.

The head of Hamas’s Office of Martyrs and Prisoners, Zaher Jabarin, welcomed the Head of the Prisoners’ Authority, Qadura Fares.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the developments of the prisoner exchange deal, the arrangements for their release, and how to welcome them in a manner befitting their sacrifices and those of our Palestinian people.

Both sides emphasized the need for constant communication through joint committees to complete this major national event, coordinating efforts in a way that serves the prisoners’ cause and removes all obstacles to finalize the prisoner exchange deal.

During the meeting, Jabarin confirmed that Hamas has been working towards a national prisoner exchange involving all factions and members of our people.

Jabarin explained that the lists of released prisoners in the first phase of the exchange deal, as part of the ceasefire agreement, will be published through the Prisoners’ Office, according to the phases and procedures of the exchange.
