Power plants in Hadramout to get out of services

HADRAMOUT, Jan. 16 (YPA) – Local authorities in the oil-rich Hadramout province, which is under coalition control in eastern Yemen, announced the imminent outage of power plants within 120 days.

The authorities explained that the remaining amount of fuel to operate the power plants did not exceed 120 hours, indicating that it would enter a state of complete power outage.

The sources affirmed that the total amount required to be provided daily to cover 50 percent of the actual need for electricity operation amounted to 257 million riyals.

The value of the deficit in diesel debt during the past five months amounted to 9 billion Yemeni riyals and $5 million dollars.
