Hamas declares reaching ceasefire agreement

GAZA, Jan. 15 (YPA) – Hamas Movement announced on Wednesday that it had reached an agreement to cease fire on the Gaza Strip.

“The ceasefire agreement is the fruit of the legendary steadfastness of our great Palestinian people and our valiant resistance in the Gaza Strip, over more than 15 months,” the movement said in a statement.

The statement added that the agreement to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza is an achievement for the Palestinian people, its resistance, the Arabic nation, and the free people of the world, noting it was a turning point in the conflict with the enemy, on the path to achieving the Palestine people’s goals of liberation and return.

Hamas statement strongly appreciated for all the honorable official and popular positions that showed solidarity with Gaza, stood with the Palestinian people, and contributed to exposing crimes of the occupation entity and stopping the aggression on Gaza, renewing its special thanks to both states of Qatar and Egypt that made great efforts to reach this agreement.
