One killed, two injured by Saudi shelling in Saada

SAADA, Jan. 13 (YPA) -The Saudi army renewed its attacks on Yemen’s border areas in Saada province on Sunday, according to local sources.

The sources reported that a civilian was killed by Saudi gunfire in the Al-Thabit area of the Qataber border district, while a civilian and an African migrant were injured by Saudi army fire in the Al-Qahr and Al-Sheikh areas of the Baqim and Monabbih border districts.

It is worth noting that the police of Saada province, northern Yemen, had released new statistics detailing civilian casualties caused by Saudi attacks on border areas throughout 2024.

The statistics revealed that 1,117 civilians were killed or injured in 1,015 violations committed by the Saudi army in the province’s border areas, including continuous targeting of civilians and their property throughout the year, despite ongoing efforts to establish calm and reduce tensions.
