Extremely cold weather sweeps Yemen areas

SANAA, Dec. (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted very cold wave hitting the Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center stated that very cold weather would target parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb, Dhalea, Lahj, and Abyan.

While the weather may be cold in parts of Jawf, Marib, Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz, Hadramout, Shabwa, and the highlands of Hajjah.

It warned citizens of the very cold weather during the night and early morning hours, especially the elderly, children, and the sick.

The center called on farmers to take precautions against the effects of the extremely cold weather and take the necessary measures to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry farmers.
