Sanaa discusses with UN lifting ban on Sanaa Airport

SANAA, Dec. 09 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works, Chairman of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority, Yahya Al-Sayani, discussed on Sunday with the Political Officer at the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Roxane Bazargan, efforts to lift the ban on Sanaa International Airport.

At the meeting, they touched on the developments related to the humanitarian file and expanding the range of air destinations to include India, Cairo, and others to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Al-Sayani argued that it is illogical for flights to be limited to only one destination for millions of citizens, stressing the need to find radical and fair solutions away from political bickering.

For her part, Bazargan referred to the special envoy’s efforts to address urgent humanitarian issues.
