Cold wave targeting mountainous areas of Yemen predicted

SANAA, Nov. 26 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology expected on Tuesday a cold wave targeting the mountainous areas of Yemeni provinces.

In its weather bulletin, the center warned residents of the cold weather in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, with minimum temperatures ranging between 3 to 7 degrees Celsius.

The center indicated expected that the weather would be relatively cold in the rest of the highlands, with minimum temperatures ranging between 08 to 13 degrees Celsius, and the rainy cumulus clouds and fog may get to form in parts of Mahweet, Hajjah and Rayma.

It stated that the desert areas have clear weather that tends to be relatively cold at night and early morning, with the moderate winds.

Sea-goers and fishermen in the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait were warned of rough seas and high waves.
