SANAA, Nov. 23 (YPA) – Amnesty International has welcomed the International Court of Justice’s warrant for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Minister of War Yoav Galant.
The organization said that Netanyahu and Galant are involved in committing war crimes and crimes against humanity through the aggression on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
The organization pointed out that by issuing the arrest warrants, the International Criminal Court is finally giving real hope for achieving justice for countless victims of war crimes under international law.
She continued: “We urge all member states of the International Criminal Court, the United States, and all allies of Israel to respect the court’s decision and international law by arresting the wanted persons and handing them over to the court.”
On Thursday, the International Criminal Court finally issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Galant, despite the enormous Western pressure at the court and its president, Karim Khan, to prevent the issuance of these warrants.
