Ghobeiry Municipality head: We stand firm, will rebuild

BEIRUT, Nov. 15 (YPA) –  The Israeli occupation forces renewed their aggression on Lebanon’s southern suburbs of Beirut, launching airstrikes targeting the Ghobeiry area.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that two strikes were launched by an Israeli drone, followed by a third, highly intense bombing carried out by warplanes. The latter targeted the same area near the Ghobeiry municipality, causing significant destruction to a building.

 

In this context, the Head of Ghobeiry’s Municipality Council, Maan Al-Khalil, stated that the number of airstrikes in the area has reached 11 in less than 48 hours.

The southern suburbs of Beirut, specifically the Ghobeiry, witnessed heavy gunfire as a warning to residents to evacuate, following threats issued by the Israeli occupation forces calling for evacuation.
