BEIRUT, Nov. 15 (YPA) – Ali Larijani, senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, reaffirmed Iran’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Lebanese Resistance in its fight against Israeli aggression.
During a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain Tineh (a village in the western Bekaa Valley of Lebanon), Larijani underscored that the main objective of his visit was to express Iran’s steadfast support for Lebanon—its government, army, and Resistance—amid the ongoing aggression from the “criminal Zionist entity,” and in all circumstances.
He reiterated that supporting Lebanon is a fundamental responsibility of the Iranian government, expressing hope for an improvement in the country’s conditions soon.
He also reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic would back any decision made by the Lebanese government and the Resistance.
Larijani stressed that while efforts are being made to resolve issues, it is Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu who is causing disruptions. He also highlighted the importance of distinguishing between allies and adversaries.
Regarding UN Resolution 1701, Larijani mentioned that Speaker Berri had provided valuable details during their discussions.
The Iranian Embassy in Beirut also reported that Larijani and Berri discussed efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon.
