Meteorology issues urgent winter weather warnings for five provinces

SANAA, Nov. 15 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning in Sanaa issued strong warnings on Friday to residents in five provinces regarding the expected weather conditions in the coming hours.

According to the center’s weather bulletin for the next 24 hours, extremely cold weather is expected during the night and early morning in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda, with temperatures expected to range between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius.

The center also indicated that cold weather may hit the highlands of the provinces of Ibb, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, and Abyan, with temperatures ranging between 5 and 8 degrees Celsius.

The center urged the elderly, children, school students, and workers to take necessary precautions against the cold weather during the night and early morning hours.

It also reiterated its call to farmers to take precautions to protect their crops from the cold.
