Coalition-backed government declares 20 hours of war on citizens

ADEN, Nov. 08 (YPA) – Electricity service in the city of Aden and the rest of the southern provinces that are suffering from an unprecedented economic collapse has become a declared tool of war against the citizens.

Sources familiar with the matter in Aden said the power outage lasts for more than 10 hours a day, compared to only two hours, which made daily life hell for the people in various fields, amid the silence of the coalition-affiliated government.

The sources explained that the significant deterioration in electricity service is due to depletion of the fuel needed to operate power plants.

The sources added that the power outage hours have reached 20 hours per day, compared to only 4 hours of operation. Accordingly, the responsible authorities directed the distribution of electricity in a scheduled and intermittent manner between the provinces areas and districts.

In the same context, the Lahj province, south of Yemen, is suffering from a severe electricity crisis, with its residents living in complete darkness.

Citizens in the south are exposed to continuous power outages that reach 15 hours a day in some areas.
