TEHRAN, Nov. 04 (YPA) – Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has denied reports of airspace closure, affirming that there are no flight restrictions currently in effect.
Ja’afar Yazerlou, spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Organization, confirmed on Sunday that no NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been issued regarding the closure of Iranian airspace or any portion of it.
He urged the public to disregard rumors circulated by “hostile” media, clarifying that claims of a NOTAM for November 4-6 affecting flights over Iran originated from a Hebrew-language tweet.
“The source of the claims shared on hostile websites and news agencies on a NOTAM issued for November 4-6 for aircraft passing through Iran was a Hebrew tweet, which is strongly rejected, and such claims are absolutely untrue,” Yazerlou said.
