Massive rallies held across Jorden in solidarity with Palestine, Lebanon

AMMAN, Nov. 01 (YPA) – Most Jordanian cities have witnessed massive solidarity marches on Friday in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon as well as in rejection of the Zionist aggression against them.

The Global Youth Movement for Freedom in Jordan organized a solidarity protest in front of the American embassy in the Jordanian capital, Amman, where a sit-in was held.

During the protest, the protesters announced an open hunger strike to demand the lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip and the urgent delivery of aid to the region.

They expressed their support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, voicing their condemnation of the Arab and international silence regarding the crimes committed against both peoples.

The protesters called for the “cancellation of the shameful Wadi Araba Treaty with the war criminals of genocide.”

They criticized the United States for supporting the Israeli military’s campaign of violence and genocide against the people in Gaza, as well as for facilitating starvation tactics with the awareness of human rights organizations.

The protesters condemned the Arab world’s silence regarding the genocide and starvation facing the people in Gaza and northern areas, particularly in light of ongoing U.S. and Western support for Israel.

They called for support for the Palestinian resistance and for providing aid and protection to the Palestinian people to bolster their steadfastness, affirming their commitment to the resistance and honoring its leaders and martyrs.

With an absolute US support, the Israeli enemy’s army has been waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, killing 43,259 and injuring 101,827, most of whom are children and women.
