BEIJING, Oct. 30 (YPA) – China’s Ministry of National Security announced discovery of undersea spy devices at the country.
In a statement, the Ministry that these devices were collecting sensitive data from the local marine environment, which it described as setting the stage for a potential battlefield.
The statement noted that another type of device, indulging subsurface water “beacons, guides foreign submarines on their path in Chinese waters, making them effective logistical support tools for invading submarines.
The ministry’s statement did not disclose where or how the devices were found, but confirmed that they were part of a worrying pattern of maritime espionage activities used to fuel surveillance and intrusion operations in the region.
