American airstrike hits civilian car in eastern Yemen

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 28 (YPA) – An American drone targeted at dawn on Monday a civilian car in the Ghayl bin Yamin district in Hadramout province in eastern Yemen, which led to destroying the car and charring the bodies of those on board.

The incident occurred after a meeting of the leaders of the Hadramout Tribal Confederacy in the area.

The drone was reported to have been following the car, which was carrying an element of the Al-Qaeda organization, according to local sources.

Activists from Hadramout considered the airstrike a clear threat to limit the legitimate demands of the Hadramout Tribal Confederacy, which had been announced in July and the American embassy expressed dissatisfaction with.

The strike occurred before the arrival of Hadramout Governor, Mabkhout bin Madi, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, arrived to hold a meeting with the coalition leadership.
