BEIRUT, Oct. 25 (YPA)- At least three journalists were killed and several others injured early this morning in an Israeli airstrike targeting their residence in the city of Hasbaya, southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
The Israeli strike targeted guesthouses housing at least 18 journalists from six media outlets, including Sky News, al-Jazeera and Lebanese broadcasters, in Hasbaya in southern Lebanon in the early hours of Friday.
Media sources reported that the martyrs included journalist Ghassan Najjar, a correspondent for Al-Mayadeen channel, broadcast engineer Mohammed Reda, and photographer Wissam Qassem from Al-Manar channel.
The Lebanese Press Editors Syndicate condemned the attack, describing it as a “horrific massacre” perpetrated by Israel against the media.
