CAIRO, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has announced the dismissal of a police officer in the tourism sector following a confrontation with a tourist who was determined to raise the Israeli flag in front of the pyramids.
In its statement, the Ministry confirmed that the officer was dismissed after “proving his misconduct towards one of the tourists,” citing “behavioral errors in his job and his inappropriate conduct with a tourist in the archaeological area in Giza.”
However, the dismissed officer claimed that his dismissal was a result of his confrontation with a tourist who raised the “Israeli flag” in front of the pyramids, deliberately repeating the act despite being warned, and taking photos while holding the “occupation flag.”
