Israeli occupation blocks aid trucks to Gaza

GAZA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The Gaza-based Government Media Office said that the Israeli occupation army has prevented the humanitarian aid trucks from the entry of Gaza Strip.

The Office affirmed in a statement on Tuesday that more than a quarter of a million trucks of aid and goods has been suspended since the beginning of the genocidal war that the occupation’s committing in Gaza the and continuing to reinforce the starvation policy, especially in Jabalia.

The statement that the policy of starvation and using it as a weapon of war against civilians and against children, one of goals of the occupation in targeting and killing the Palestinian people.

“Preventing the entry of food, baby milk and nutritional supplements for children is considered a crime against humanity and perpetuates the policy of starvation in the provinces of the Gaza Strip,” it said.

The office’s statement noted that the Israeli occupation’s blockading more than 2,400,000 people in the Gaza Strip amid the world’s silence portends a deep humanitarian crisis that may claim the lives of thousands of our Palestinian people.

It strongly condemned the crime of starvation that the occupation’s committing against civilians, especially children, as well as the occupation’s prevention of the entry of aid and goods for 169 days to the southern Gaza Strip and for more than 180 days to the northern Gaza Strip.

The statement called on the international community and all UN and international organizations to exert real and serious pressure on the criminal occupation to stop starvation and genocidal war in the Strip.
