Several areas in Sanaa to experience scattered rains

SANAA, Oct. 20 (YPA) – Yemen’s capital Sanaa and its suburbs witnessed scattered rains on Sunday.

Regarding weather forecast, the National Center for Meteorology expected partly cloudy to cloudy weather with light rains on parts of the provinces of Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, Mahweet and Hajjah, in addition to Saada, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Shabwa and Hadramout.

The weather in the coastal areas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with thunderstorms on parts of the western coasts and Tihama Plain and scattered rains on the eastern and southern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago, with the moderate to active winds on the eastern and southern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago, it stated.

The center affirmed that the desert areas will have clear to partly cloudy weather with scattered rains on parts of Jawf, Marib and Shabwa the province and the moderate to active winds.

It calls on citizens in areas where rain may fall to take away valleys and flood paths and crossing ground bridges, warning the decrease in horizontal visibility on roads and mountain slopes due to rainfall and fog formation.
