Earthquake hits south of Sanaa

SANAA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – Earthquake and volcano monitoring stations recorded on Wednesday a mild earthquake south of the capital, Sanaa.

The head of the National Center for Monitoring and Studying Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, confirmed in a post on his Facebook page that monitoring stations recorded the earthquake northwest of Dhamar province, 100 kilometers south of the capital, Sanaa, with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale.

He explained that the earthquake occurred 33 kilometers from the monitoring stations in Dhamar city, indicating that the earthquake was of the mild type that occurs from time to time.
