Guterres: Lebanon is on edge of abyss

SANAA, Sept. 24 (YPA) – The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, announced on Tuesday, that “The situation in Gaza is an endless nightmare and Lebanon is on the edge of the abyss.”

“There is no justification for collective punishment against the Palestinian people, and the Middle East is witnessing crimes without accountability, while civilians pay the price”, he added.

He stressed: “The international community must rally to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and move towards a two-state solution.”
