Demonstration in Liverpool demands end to Israeli genocide war in Gaza

LIVERPOOL, Sept. 21 (YPA) –  Dozens of demonstrators from Liverpool, England, participated in a demonstration against the Israeli genocide war in Gaza, demanding a ceasefire and pressuring the British government to stop arms exports to the Israeli occupation.

The demonstration, organized by the Palestinian Forum in Britain, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Stop the War Coalition, Holy Friends, the British Muslim Association, and the Right Disarmament Campaign, called for ending British military support for the Israeli occupation immediately and making tangible efforts by the Labor Party to stand against the genocide in Gaza.

The demonstration coincided with the annual Labor Party conference, providing a powerful platform for demonstrators to voice their concerns directly to the party leadership.

The protest was a direct response to the Labor Party’s recent voting record at the United Nations, where the party failed to support a resolution demanding Israel’s immediate withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories.

The demonstrators expressed their deep disappointment in the failure of the Labor Party to support the United Nations resolution that called for the immediate withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from the occupied Palestinian territories.

The march also carried a strong call for the Labor Party to act urgently in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
