HODEIDAH, July 18 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Wednesday launched an offensive on the coalition-backed militias in Yemen’s Red Sea Port City of Hodeidah, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
The attack targeted the militias in the East of Tuhayta district of the western coast, causing massive losses in life and gear in the militias’ ranks, the official said.
The official confirmed that dozens of militias were killed and injured in the offensive.
Two military vehicles belonging to the militias were destroyed in the attack, one of them by a guided-missile, the official added.
The official added that the army seized machine gun in confrontations.
