Hamas: We are ready to implement ceasefire without new conditions

DOHA, Sept. 12 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), stated that its negotiating delegation, headed by Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, met with Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Egypt’s intelligence chief Abbas Kamel, in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Wednesday morning.

The meeting reviewed the developments concerning the Palestinian cause and the aggression against the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, Hamas affirmed that its delegation welcomed the Egyptian-Qatari role and their efforts in the indirect negotiations to halt the aggression against the Palestinian people.

The Hamas statement reiterated its “readiness for the immediate implementation of the ceasefire agreement based on President Biden’s declaration”.

The delegation underscored its rejection of any projects related to the post-aggression phase in the Gaza Strip and affirmed that the administration of the Gaza Strip is a Palestinian internal matter to be resolved with a unified Palestinian vision.

Hamas welcomed a comprehensive national dialogue with all Palestinian factions and forces to agree on a national vision to address the current stage’s challenges and unify the national front.

The movement showed its willingness to engage with the mediators’ efforts and welcomed their ongoing role in securing a ceasefire, withdrawing the occupying forces from Gaza, delivering aid to the Palestinian people, facilitating a prisoner exchange, and supporting reconstruction initiatives.
