Protesters hang Palestinian flag atop New York’s Williamsburg Bridge

WORLD, Sept. 10 (YPA) – A large Palestinian flag had been hung on New York’s Williamsburg Bridge by protesters on Monday, according video footage shared on Social media platforms.

The Williamsburg Bridge, which connects Manhattan to Brooklyn, had previously been a site for anti-Israel war protests related to Gaza that took place in the US last year under the banner “Shut It Down (the bridge) for Palestine,” resulting in the arrest of dozens of participants.

Earlier this September, dozens of students demonstrated outside Columbia University as the new academic term began, showing support for Palestine and opposing the ongoing Israeli war on Gaz.
