NEW DELHI, Sept. 08 (YPA) – At least 29 people have been killed in floods caused by heavy rains in the southern Indian state of Telangana, the Business Standard reported, citing a statement from the office of state Governor Santhi Kumari.

“Recent heavy rains and floods have killed 29 people in Telangana state,” the statement said.
Kumari affirmed that 29 out of 33 districts in the state were affected as a result of heavy rain.
