DHAMAR, Sept. 02 (YPA) – In the Wusab As Safil district of Dhamar Governorate, rescue teams recovered the bodies of two individuals from flood victims after two days of searching. The search involved civil defense, the Red Crescent, and local community members, covering 6-8 kilometers of valley paths.
The director of the district, Fouad al-Qudaimi, stated that rescue teams, comprising civil defense, the Red Crescent, and local community members, successfully recovered the bodies of two victims after an extensive search in the valley paths, which span 6-8 kilometers.
The total number of recovered bodies has reached 30, while the search continues for one missing person.
Military units from the Fourth Military Region are working to reopen roads and repair damaged manual wells to alleviate the disaster’s impact and assist the affected community, he added.
He praised all efforts being made by the Emergency Development Unit of the Ministry of Finance and the Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges for contributing equipment and machinery to support road clearing and debris removal.
Meanwhile, ambulance teams from the Yemeni Red Crescent and the Health Office have transported two injured individuals to Al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeida for treatment. The total number of injured has risen to ten, most of them are suffering from fractures.
