16 Palestinians killed in Israeli aggression on Jenin, Tulkarem

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 29 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression on the Jenin and Tulkarem governorates for the second consecutive day, while withdrawing from Tubas.

According to Palestinian sources, the ongoing aggression in the northern West Bank, the largest since the 2002 invasion, has resulted in the martyrdom of 13 civilians and injuries to more than 30 others.

This raises the total number of martyrs since October 7, 2023, to 668, the sources said .

The occupation forces have expanded their aggression in Tulkarem to include the Nur Shams camp, raiding dozens of homes and subjecting a large number of citizens to field interrogations.

The siege of Nur Shams camp continues, with all its entrances closed, and homes being raided and searched, the  sources added. There are unconfirmed reports of five additional martyrs after they were reportedly trapped in a house by the occupation forces.

In Jenin, the occupation forces continued their siege on the city and raiding the eastern neighborhood, while reinforcing their military presence around the camp. Intense clashes have erupted, accompanied by intermittent explosions.

Media reports indicate that Israeli bulldozers carrying out  massive destruction  to destroy civilian vehicles and property, as well as demolishing streets and infrastructure in the city and the camp.

In Tubas, Israeli forces have withdrawn from the Al-Fara’a camp after over 30 hours of aggression, which resulted in four martyrs, several detainees, and damage to homes and infrastructure.
