United States sends bombs worth $750 million to Saudi Arabia

SANAA, Aug. 14 (YPA) – America would send bombs worth $750 million to Saudi Arabia, local sources reported.

The Wall Street Journal said that Biden government is preparing to send bombs worth more than $750 million to Saudi Arabia in the coming months, pointing out that there is a major change in relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia.

The decision to return arms deals to Riyadh reflects the White House’s efforts to strengthen relations with Riyadh, and is allegedly aimed at strengthening the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and facilitating a possible normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and the occupying entity, the newspaper added.

This step comes after years of tension in relations between the two countries, whereas Biden, who promised at the beginning with seeing Saudi Arabia as a “pariah” because of its record in field of human rights and the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, he gradually softened his position, especially after his visit to Saudi Arabia in 2022.
