Air alert announced across Ukraine

WORLD, Aug. 13 (YPA) – This morning, the state of air alert was announced in all the territory of Ukraine, according to the data of the electronic map from the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation and reports from media outlets.
Air raid sirens were activated at 07:19 in the capital Kiev and in the Vinnytsia region (southwest of Kiev), and the alert then spread to other areas of the country.
The military administration in the Sumy region (north) reported that the area was subjected to missile and drone attacks targeting infrastructure facilities.
The Sumy region borders Russia’s Kursk and Belgorod regions in the east and Bryansk region in the north.
The Russian military had previously announced strikes on Ukrainian military equipment and reserves in Sumy as part of its response to the Ukrainian attack on Kursk last week.
