Palestinian young man succumbs to his wounds from Israeli occupation fire in Ramallah

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 13 (YPA) -A Palestinian young man succumbed to wounds he sustained from Israeli occupation forces’ fire during a raid on the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh at Tuesday dawn.

Palestinian sources said that Moataz Sarsour, from Al-Amari camp, was critically injured after he was shot by the occupation forces in the chest, and was transferred to the Palestine Medical Complex, where doctors pronounced him dead due to his injuries.

The occupation forces stormed Al-Tira neighborhood in the city of Ramallah and raided a residential building that includes an apartment owned by detainee Ayser Barghouthi.

They also raided Umm Al-Sharait neighborhood in Al-Bireh and raided a residential building that includes an apartment belonging to Khaled Al-Kharouf, before blowing up the two apartments.

Confrontations erupted in Al-Tira and Umm Al-Sharait neighborhoods, during which the occupation soldiers fired bullets and tear gas bombs, which led to the injury of four young men with bullets, including Sarsour, and a young man who was run over by a military vehicle.

With the killing of Sarsour, the death toll in the West Bank has risen to 624 since October 7, 2023, including 145 children and 9 women.
