Sanaa warns against attempts to circumvent oil export condition

SANAA, July 28 (YPA) – An official in the Supreme Economic Committee in Sanaa issued a warning to the “government” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition and foreign companies working in the energy field against attempts to circumvent oil export condition.

The official warned against attempts to export oil from Yemen despite Sanaa’s decision to ban the continuation of exports in light of the transfer of Yemeni oil revenues to the National Bank of Saudi Arabia to be distributed to officials loyal to the coalition outside Yemen.

The media secretary at the Economic Committee in Sanaa, Ibrahim Al-Seraji, said, “The resumption of oil exports depends on the payment of the salaries of state employees,” stressing that “any attempts to circumvent this decision will be met with fire.”

Al-Seraji stated that the recent agreement with Saudi Arabia is limited to flights and the banking sector and “does not allow the plundering of Yemeni wealth.”
