Militants arrest media professional in Aden

HADRAMOUT, July 06 (YPA) – Islah Party-run First Military Region” forces detained a media professional loyal to the UA-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the center of the city of Seiyun, the center of the Wadi Hadramout districts in eastern Yemen.

Media sources in the province reported that Islah militants arrested “Osama Jaridan,” the correspondent of the “Aden Independent Channel” affiliated with the STC, at one of the security points in Seiyun, according to a statement issued by the so-called the STC-run Journalists Syndicate.

The statement explained that the process of detaining the reporter Jaridan came while he was working on the channel’s live broadcast.

It noted that Al-Islah militants interrupted the live broadcast, searched Jaridan’s car and the channel’s equipment, and surrounded him with a number of gunmen.
