Germany imposes ban on red triangle used by Al-Qassam Brigades

BARLIN, July 06 (YPA) – Members of the House of Representatives in Germany voted in favor of banning the “red triangle,” which is used by the Al-Qassam Brigades in the videos it publishes to target the Israeli occupation’s soldiers and vehicles into the Gaza Strip.

Media sources reported that the council called on the Senate to work to implement this ban throughout Germany, in order to ensure that this symbol is not used in public contexts related to the conflict in the Middle East.

The Christian Democratic Union, the Social Democratic Party, and the Alternative for Germany party voted on the draft resolution, while the Green and Left parties abstained from voting, according to German websites.

The downward red triangle symbol has been used by al-Qassam Brigades to identify targeted soldiers and vehicles of the Zionist occupation army in videos documenting its military operations in the Gaza Strip.
