OCCUPIED PALESTINE, June 27 (YPA) – Israeli occupation army invaded Jenin city in the northern West Bank early this Thursday morning, and deployed military reinforcements in the city and its refugee camp outskirts, arresting 8 Palestinians, Local sources reported.
According to the sources, among those arrested was Legislative Council member Jamal Hawil, along with others who were inside a pharmacy raided by Israeli special forces.
Sources stated, “A young man was injured early this morning in Jenin city by Israeli occupation bullet shrapnel in the face, and Israeli forces obstructed ambulance crews from transferring him to the hospital.”
According to WAFA news agency, the Israeli occupation deployed dozens of sniper soldiers on the roofs of commercial buildings and houses and in the neighborhoods of the city and its commercial center, amid the outbreak of confrontations described as “violent” and the sound of explosions being heard.
Violent clashes erupted around Jenin cinema, the Interior Roundabout, and the outskirts of the Jenin refugee camp, where Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters in the courtyard of Jenin Governmental Hospital and bullets towards civilians and their vehicles.
